Mike Hafley

It is with heavy hearts that your ISCA officers and shoot committee are providing this notification to the membership.

The Indiana shooting community has lost a good friend, former state champion, accomplished target setter and major supporter with the passing of Mike Hafley on Sunday, August 15th. Mike has been a major influence on our sport since his days at Kokomo and help lay the foundation for our current ISCA organization many years ago. He contributed to the growth of our sport in so many ways including winning our State Championship and traveling with his daughter Ashleigh as she competed on the world stage and helped put Indiana shooting on the map.

As many of you already know, Mike and his company SG Events, has been actively involved with the conduct of our annual Indiana Sporting Clays Championship now for many years. In classic Hafley fashion, Mike worked up to the last minute getting our most recent event at Indian Creek all set before taking time to care for himself. His passion for providing us quality targets will always be something we remember.

While there are no services currently planned, you can find Mike’s official obituary at the link below along with options to honor his memory in your own way - https://usobit.com/obituaries-2021/mike-h-hafley-2021/
