Final 2020 Race to State

Indiana Creek hosted the fourth and final 2020 Race to State event last weekend. It was a warm weekend with temperatures soaring into the mid-90s in Georgetown, Indiana and the scores kept pace with the thermometer. Master Class shooter Joseph Olin took HOA in the Main breaking a very impressive 97 birds. He needed all of them to hold off the other ten shooters who racked up 90 or more clays in the event. Donnya Shryock led the Lady shooters, and won her class, as she dusted 76 targets. The other class winners were:

Master - Don Epling - 94

AA - Jim McNutt - 91

A - Joseph Kraus - 87

B - Brook Haynes - 88

C - Jarrett Agnew - 83

D - Donnya Shryock - 76

E - Alexander Hale - 72

Ronald Lee took HOA honors in the 50 bird Super event with a strong showing, breaking 47 birds. Four shooters, Kyle Norman, Bill Sheley, Don Epling, and Gene Lowe shared the top performance in the True Pairs event as they each broke 47 of the 50 clays.

The 2020 Race to State series was a big success again this year and leads into what we expect to be an exciting and challenging Indiana State Championship starting this Thursday, July 23 at the Indiana Gun Club. Hosted by Fall Creek Sporting Clays and title sponsor, Stifel Financial, the four day event will present shooters the opportunity to shoot more than 750 clays. Not mention good food, good cigars, and good friends. There is still time to register at http://www.winscoreonline.com.
